SALM Awarded – This is given by Department of
Agriculture (DOA), The seal acts as an indicator of high quality produce and stipulated conditions imposed by standards, guidelines and regulations currently in placed. Farms who achieve will receive a certificate of official recognition. It allows the producer to affix seals of quality on their products destined for domestic and international markets. The scope of the GAP are site record keeping; varieties
and rootstocks; site history and site management; soil and substrate
management; fertilizer usage; irrigation; crop protection; harvesting;
post-harvest treatments; waste and pollution management, recycling and
reuse; staff health, safety and welfare; and environment. |
