They first prepared the string in the ordered spin state, in which all ion spins point in the same direction. Ich habe es so gemacht, das ich mir 1 Wertungsblatt ausgedruckt, die letzten 2 Spieler weggeschnitten und eingescannt habe. A run is a sequential group of numbers 2 3 4 5, 7 8 9 10 11 12, etc. This research is published in Physical Review Letters. A Google User: Phase10 Absolutely love this mini game. The first player to complete all 10 phases wins. If there is a tie, the player who has scored the least amount of points wins.
Reference cards that list the phases, a deck of cards includes colored, numbered cards as well as skip and wild cards , pen and paper for score keeping.
One player shuffles the cards and deals out 10 cards to each player face down. The remaining cards are placed in a face-down pile and one card is flipped upright.
The player to the left goes first and either takes the top card from the discard pile or the facedown pile.
Play proceeds clockwise. The goal is for each player to complete his or her phase. Once you've completed your phase, work to be the first player to discard all cards by playing them off other's phases or your own.
Once a player has gone out, the remaining players count up their remaining cards and points are added. The next hand play continues with players working on whichever phase they are on.
The first player to reach phase 10 and complete it wins. In case of a tie, points are calculated and the player with the fewest points wins.
There are a few more details and potential situations. The official game rules will explain. This video guide by "TheGameBoyGeeks" breaks gameplay down into simple steps.
Watch this less-thanminute video and you'll better understand how the game progresses and what it takes to win a hand—and the game! Want to take your game to the next level?
Keep these Phase 10 strategy tips in mind next time you sit down to play a game. Do you have any strategy tips, memorable moments or other information about the game you want to share?
Comment below and I'll be happy to add your information to this ever-growing database about this awesome card game!
We are having a debate on if you have a phase do you have to play it or can you hold onto it until you want to play it?
One says it's a fine strategy the other says that's cheating. If you land on a twist phase you can decide to play a twist phase or one of the phases on either side of the twist phase space.
If you play a twist phase the pawn movements change to 6 spaces if you complete the phase and discard all of your cards, 4 if you complete the phase but do not discard all of your cards, or move back one space if you do not complete the phase.
Arkansas Rules allows players to capitalize on the hand that is dealt if it contains most of the cards needed for an uncompleted phase.
The rule regarding completing phases in any order is similar to the commercialized "Masters Edition" of the game. In order to win, a player must complete all ten phases.
Scoring is the same as standard rules Phase Postal Rules follow the standard Phase 10 rules with two additions: 1 No player can go out play all 10 cards , thus ending the hand, until play has completed one circuit of the table and play has returned to the dealer.
I guess by "games" I probably meant rounds. Unless you play the variation where everyone moves to the next phase regardless if they laid down the current phase, it is possible that you play more than ten rounds in any game.

If the phase is 2 sets of 3, can you lay down 3 sets of 3, or a 2 sets of 3 and a run? Or do you just have to play off of the two sets of three to discard your cards?
You may not lay down additional sets or runs. Introduction: How to Play Phase As you might expect, the game consists of 10 phases the players must complete in order.
A run is a sequential group of numbers 2 3 4 5, 7 8 9 10 11 12, etc. Wilds can be played as any number in a set or run also any color. At the end of your turn you MUST discard a card, face up next to the draw pile.
Once the scores are added up, the players move to the next round. The person with the lowest score wins! Did you make this project?

Auszug aus dem Würfelspiel Wertungsblatt. By contrast, artificially engineered quantum matter made up of many atoms or ions at temperatures close to absolute zero, such as an atomic Bose-Einstein condensate, is generally thermally isolated from the environment and can be easily taken out of equilibrium.
This feature of engineered quantum matter has made it both the focus and motivator of recent research on nonequilibrium matter.
In particular, recent theoretical work [ 2 ] put forward a new class of phenomena that nonequilibrium quantum many-body systems may exhibit. The authors of this study noted an analogy between the evolution operator—a mathematical operator that describes the evolution of the wave function of a quantum system—and the partition function, which describes the statistical properties of a system in thermal equilibrium with the environment.
In this analogy, the role of time in the evolution of a thermally isolated quantum system is equivalent to that of the inverse of the temperature in a system in thermal equilibrium.
This equivalence has been known and widely used since the early days of quantum mechanics [ 3 ]. But the study pointed out a previously unexplored consequence of the analogy: just as thermal-equilibrium systems can undergo phase transitions as their temperature is varied, isolated quantum systems that are driven out of equilibrium can experience phase transitions as time marches forward.
These dynamical quantum phase transitions—as the authors dubbed this class of nonequilibrium phenomena—would manifest themselves in discontinuous behavior of the system at certain critical times.
These researchers [ 2 ] explored this notion in the much-studied one-dimensional transverse-field Ising model, a chain of interacting quantum spins in a transverse magnetic field [ 4 ].
This model is known to undergo a standard quantum phase transition between its ordered and disordered spin phases as parameters in the model that describe the spin-spin interactions are changed [ 5 ].
This transition occurs in thermal-equilibrium conditions. This is exactly what Blatt and colleagues observed in their experimental study of a quantum many-body spin system.
The result comes on the heels of a series of studies that realized the transverse-field Ising model using a chain of ultracold ions [ 6 , 7 ].
Obtained in this way, the model features long-range interactions between the ions, in contrast to the short-range interactions that characterize the original transverse-field Ising model.
